Access for handicaped person
Train Thur Doller Alsace inaugurated in 2010 a Public Car While allowing easy access to the train for people with reduced mobility.
This car, with two tailgates to mount wheelchairs to board the train safely. It was built entirely by the members with the help of carpentry Bitsch Burnhaupt up.
This car can also help to mount strollers on the train.
Béatrice Hess and Patrizia GubianiLe fabrication yard lasted nearly two years, the car was inaugurated by Mrs. Patrizia Gubiani, Director of Departmental House Disability Upper Rhine and Beatrice Hess, Olympic Champion Para, Para Alsace President, Vice President national and Officer of the legion of Honor.
The project was funded by the Alsace Region, the General Council of Haut Rhin, Caisse d'Epargne and the Lions Club Guebwiller.
At the inauguration The all public car is arranged into two compartments: a semi-open compartment with a capacity of 10 seats and about 5 wheelchair spaces
and closed with a capacity of 14 seats and about 7 locations wheelchair compartment.
In spring 2013, we have had work done to our health facilities re Sentheim. We now have an additional toilet lady, but also an accessible toilet for people with reduced mobility!
Nearly three months were required for the realization of this project that now provides access worthy of the name to all travelers.
